The 25th edition of the annual CAF Awards will take place Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the International Conference Centre in the Nigerian capital, Abuja.
The night will be filled with pomp and pageantry as musicians and artists across Africa will entertain the world before the crowning of the African Player of the Year 2016.
Among the musicians and artists performing are Nigerian Afro-beat musician Femi Kuti, and five-man South African Afro-electric band The Muffinz.

Nigeria’s Flavour N’abania, Omawumi, Yemi Alade, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Reekado Banks, Ego, Comedian Gordons, and Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz will also get Africans on their feet.

Gabonese international and current title holder Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will face off against Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez and Senegalese winger Sadio Mane for the 2016 African Player of the Year.
The show will be hosted by veteran Nigerian actor Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) and sports journalist Mimi Fawaz.
